The second edition of the Master Eco Packaging Design – Systemic Innovation Design of the Polytechnic of Turin, promoted by PACKAGING ETHICAL CHARTE FOUNDATION, entered the heart of the creative / practical design activities, in collaboration with companies. Activities in which students have the opportunity to discover different realities and measure themselves against complex and real challenges, precise needs and concrete production possibilities: from the design of rPET bottles with SIPA, to the investigation of future scenarios for paper and cardboard packaging with Comieco, from the definition of innovative returnable vacuum systems for glass bottles for Verallia, to experimentation in the technological field thanks to the collaboration with Artefice Group and Cellularline, to conclude with the technical / formal research with a view to sustainability for Bottega Veneta and Lavazza .

The one-year program addressed the strategic and planning aspects of design, communication and sustainability for the packaging project in an interdisciplinary way. The first months saw the alternation of lectures, seminars and extemporaneous exercises, organized by teachers, companies and scientific partners, who shared their experience in the field and their vision of the main current challenges to be faced in the sector.
The master, organized with a Systemic Design oriented logic, has always been based on the principle of constant and constructive collaboration, with the final aim of providing a complex vision of the investigated phenomena, creating a common language for the meeting of different knowledge, in the constant search for innovative solutions.
The last phase of the path will start from July, namely the internship in collaboration with companies and studios, and the implementation of the consulting project.

Coordinator of the Master is Paolo Tamborrini (paolo.tamborrini@polito.it), assisted by Vice Coordinator Chiara Remondino (chiara.remondino@polito.it).
