Bachelor in Industrial Technology and Packaging
CalPoly’s Bachelor in Industrial Technology and Packaging involves the use of engineering and manufacturing technologies to ensure the safe translation of products from the line of production to the consumer’s hands. It also aims to aid in the development of functional and cost-effective packaging. The curriculum combines foundational business courses with topic-specific industrial technology and packaging work. A consistent amount of major courses is paired with an equally extensive number of support ones, even providing the opportunity to pick an academic path between Industrial technology and Packaging technology. This degree is featured in the University’s Orfalea College of Business, providing educational programs based on socially-responsible economy and learn-by-doing, technology-oriented education. The University’s Industrial Technology Area is also the administrative home for the Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship concentration and the Consumer Packaging Solutions concentration.
