Our projects
“Our Projects” brings together all the initiatives through which the Foundation translates the ten Values of the Ethical Packaging Charter into concrete actions.
Activities are developed across three strategic areas: Education, Research and Development, and Social Sustainability.
Education
The Foundation promotes educational and professional activities involving primary and secondary schools, universities and value chain operators.
From classroom outreach to advanced training courses, including workshops, cultural projects and programmes focused on technical and regulatory skills, education supports widespread, informed growth aligned with the ten Values of the Ethical Charter.
Key projects:
-
Packaging: What a Fantastic Adventure!
An educational programme dedicated to primary schools and, from the 2025/26 school year, extended to lower secondary schools. Through interactive lessons, hands-on workshops and a final creative contest, the project guides children and young people in discovering packaging, helping them understand its functions, value and role in environmental, economic and social sustainability. The initiative engages families, teachers and students in a shared cultural journey that promotes knowledge, responsibility and awareness among new generations.
-
Advanced Training Course in Packaging Management
An annual 110-hour programme designed for professionals, technicians and value chain operators seeking a comprehensive, multidisciplinary understanding of packaging. The course covers materials, design, production technologies, quality, regulation, sustainability and process management across the entire value chain. Through contributions from university lecturers, experts and industry professionals, it trains individuals capable of engaging with all corporate functions and managing packaging as a strategic asset.
-
Advanced Training Course “Packaging Waste Expert”
A 120-hour specialised programme for professionals responsible for interpreting and applying European regulations on packaging and packaging waste. The programme explores the European and national regulatory framework, obligations related to design and labelling, collection, recycling and extended producer responsibility, as well as correct and verifiable environmental communication. The course develops technical and managerial profiles capable of guiding companies in design and operational choices, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with sustainability objectives.

Research and Development
Tools, guidelines, studies and cultural dissemination activities that support the value chain in interpreting technological, design and regulatory change.
This area includes:
-
the Foundation Days, in-depth events held four times a year that bring together companies, universities, institutions, technicians, students and professionals from across the sector.
Each meeting focuses on a specific theme related to the ten Values of the Ethical Charter or emerging issues, featuring presentations, case studies, research and interdisciplinary perspectives.
The Foundation Days provide a public forum for dialogue and exchange, designed to share knowledge, interpret ongoing change and equip the value chain with cultural and professional tools to address sector transformation.
They represent a shared growth space where ideas, expertise and visions converge to shape more conscious, responsible and future-oriented packaging.
-
participation in competitions and scientific awards, such as Best Packaging, which recognise responsible innovation and design excellence.
Social Sustainability
Projects that integrate education, employment and inclusion, creating real opportunities for people in vulnerable situations.
The Foundation develops pathways that enhance skills, autonomy and dignity, promoting a vision of sustainability that places people, communities and their professional futures at the centre.
Progetti principali:
-
Penitentiary Institutions Project
A training and professional pathway dedicated to incarcerated individuals, focused on graphic skills, printing and packaging technologies. The project provides concrete technical tools, as well as opportunities for personal growth, responsibility and awareness of one’s professional potential. Through collaboration with training bodies and penitentiary institutions, the programme fosters inclusion and creates conditions for qualified reintegration into the workforce, building bridges between the production value chain and pathways to autonomy.
-
“The Bridge” Project – Inclusion and Autism
An initiative that supports companies in creating truly inclusive work environments capable of welcoming and valuing neurodivergent individuals. The project trains internal company figures to support professional integration, promote effective interactions, adapt processes and recognise individual talents. The goal is to build fairer workplaces, attentive to people and oriented towards a form of sustainability that integrates social, cultural and professional dimensions.
Progetti principali:
-
Progetto Istituti Penitenziari
-
Progetto “The Bridge” – Inclusione e autismo
