The “First International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste” was celebrated on September 29, 2020.
The initiative wanted by the agencies UN FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) and UNEP (Environment Program) is a wake-up call to both the public and private sectors to develop strategies and technological innovation against food waste and losses, especially to ensure safe and controlled food for populations already fragile and further damaged by Covid 19.
