Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering
The Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering of the Central Philippine University’s strives to apply scientific and engineering principles and solve problems related to design, production and preparation of packaged product distribution. The course includes aspects of industrial engineering, marketing, materials science, industrial design and logistics. It also encompasses sectors of research, development, manufacturing, marketing, graphic design, regulation, purchasing and many more. The main idea it promotes is that of the package satisfying the needs of its end user and being able to properly protect the product despite maintaining an efficient, cost-effective process cycle. Through studies of the physical proprieties and the management requirements of packaging, the Bachelor’s sets its goal to help build skills required for the development of the best kind of packaging, even adapting a well-structured use of raw materials and production facilities, and taking into account the energy-saving dynamics and the reduction of costs.
